Moravská gobelínová manufaktura

[ English ] [ Deutsch ] [ Česky ]

Wall tapestries combine visual art with classic textile craftmanship. Each of them is created as an original based upon artistic models by artists in co-operation with the Moravian Tapestry Manufactory or designed by the customer.

Two basic weaving procedures come about in our manufactory, the demanding art and crafts technique of classic Gobelins as well as the original oriental technique of hand weaving.

With the classic Gobelin technique the work is woven according to designs by contemporary artists (gallery) according to historical models (gallery) or historicizing work (gallery).

Moravian Tapestry Manufactory mainly creates hand woven tapestries in accordance with designs by contemporary artists (gallery).
